Will this fit on a Jackson Bite rec fishing kayak: The motor bracket requires a relatively flat mounting surface approx. 9" x 9". The Jackson Bite does not appear to have a mounting surface suitable for attaching the bracket directly to the stern, however, it may be possible to create a DIY mounting platform using materials such as Marine Board or King Starboard (minimum recommended thickness of 0.25 inches). Scrap plywood can be used to create prototype platforms for testing so you can confirm fit and function before making any purchases. Just make sure the DIY platform is capable of supporting the bracket and a trolling motor within the listed specifications. For motors with thrust or HP on the upper end, we recommend installing a backing plate on the inside of the hull (if access allows) to provide additional support. Backing plates should be made from Marine Board/King Starboard as well.
Will this bracket mount fit on the ascend 128x fishing kayak rear/stern? the 4 predilled threaded insert holes are 6''x 6 3/4'' square area?: The bracket footprint is (L) 8.59” x (W) 8.78” with a mounting hole pattern of 3.75” x 4.75”. The stern on the Ascend 128x appears to have a standard mounting platform but you will need to measure and confirm. If the mounting holes are 6" x 6.75", new holes will need to be drilled. If so, installing a backing plate is highly recommended to increase support and strength.
Will this work with a tarpon 105: The stern on the Tarpon 105 is not designed for mounting trolling motors. It may still be possible to install the bracket but it will require some DIY-ing to create a suitable mounting platform.
Can this be used for a 3.5hp outboard motor if it's under the 45lb max weight capacity and backed with a plate?: This shouldn't be an issue as long as a backing plate is used for additional support.
