Charter Overview
Spend an incredible day on the river with ChasingTales Alaska! Captain Alex, an experienced local fisherman, will go above and beyond to ensure his guests have an amazing time. He personalizes each trip based on skill level and preferences, recommending options that maximize the enjoyment of the experience.
Enjoy fishing on one of their two 21’ custom-built aluminum boats that can accommodate up to 4 guests each. These boats are equipped with single 50 HP Yamaha engines, reaching a maximum speed of 30 knots. Additionally, they are wheelchair accessible, ensuring accessibility for all.
The trips are available from mid-May to the end of October, and there are options for both half-day and full-day trips. These trips are shared, meaning you are charged per person, not for the entire boat. Private boat options can be arranged, subject to an upgrade fee.
The fishing experience primarily involves drift fishing and back trolling, targeting a range of fish species including Steelhead, Dolly Varden, Arctic Char, and various types of Salmon. Captain Alex provides all fishing equipment, catering even to fly fishermen. While Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, and Steelhead must be released, you are allowed to keep other species.
Feel free to bring your preferred food and drinks and don't forget to purchase a fishing license before your trip. ChasingTales Alaska is committed to making your trip unforgettable. Choose a date and join them for an exciting freshwater adventure!
