Depending on when you book your trip, you'll have the opportunity to fish on one of our five featured rivers: the Muskegon, the Manistee, the Rogue, the Grand, or the Jordan River. From the end of August to the end of October, you can catch Chinook and Coho Salmon. Brown Trout is available from May 1st to July 31st, and Steelhead can be found most of the year, from September 1st to May 1st.

Our fishing trips not only offer an abundance of fish, but also a wealth of wildlife. You'll have the chance to witness a variety of birds searching for their next meal, discover secluded areas of the river for unforgettable photo backdrops, and more.

During your fishing adventure, you'll ride in Aaron's 16' Wooldridge Jet boat, capable of accommodating up to three individuals. This jet boat is powered by a 150 HP Mercury Outboard engine and equipped with a fishfinder to help locate the prime fishing spots. We prioritize safety and provide life jackets, as well as an icebox for storing your catch.

At Mainstream Guides, we provide all the necessary gear for your fly fishing adventure. Our selection includes Orvis and Redington fly fishing equipment, a variety of tackle and bait readily available on the boat. Additionally, we offer snacks, drinks, and a full lunch to keep you energized throughout the day. Our trips last eight hours, including approximately seven hours of fishing and one hour for resting, spot changing, and enjoying lunch.

Please note that fishing locations and start times are determined based on fish migrations and stream activity. Prior to the trip, it is essential that you obtain a valid Michigan freshwater fishing license.
