Salmon Harbor Fishing Adventure: Safety, Gear, and Thrills in Winchester Bay

Start your day of adventure at Salmon Harbor in Winchester Bay. Our top priority is safety, so we'll have a brief safety talk and provide comfortable inflatable personal flotation devices (PFDs) for crossing the bar and exploring the open waters. You're also welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Once we have the safety measures in place, we'll go over the high-quality Stryker Rods with Okuma Line counter reels, available in both right and left hand retrieve.

Please come prepared for Oregon's weather, as the first fishing spot may require a bit of a run. Layered clothing and appropriate gear are recommended. Our custom-built 25-foot Falcon boat from RB Boats is designed with your comfort in mind. The windshield provides great protection from the elements while allowing us to maneuver easily. We also have a portable restroom on board for your convenience.

We'll have a cooler stocked with water bottles for our guests, but you're welcome to bring your own choice of beverages. However, we kindly request that you avoid bringing glass on board. While we don't typically provide lunches and snacks, feel free to bring your own supplies and be prepared for a full day on the water.

Depending on the weather and ocean regulations, we'll decide whether to troll in the ocean or stay in the river to target fall Chinook. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to message us. We're dedicated to providing you with the fishing trip you desire and sharing our passion for the sport.
