Charter Overview
Welcome aboard! Captain Bruce has extensive experience fishing Lake Erie, starting from his childhood. His knowledge of the best Walleye spots is unparalleled. He specializes in targeting trophy Walleye during the months of April–June, when these prized fish can be found around the reef complexes and flats west of Port Clinton. The western basin of Lake Erie is renowned as the ultimate destination for Walleye enthusiasts.
Your Walleye adventure will take place aboard the Lu Sea, a remarkable 28 ft. Boston Whaler Conquest. This modern vessel is equipped with cutting-edge fishing tackle and electronics. The Lu Sea offers a comfortable cabin, private bathroom, and a refrigerator for your convenience. Captain Bruce will provide all the necessary rods, reels, and tackle. Just remember, if you are 16 years or older, you will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip.
At Rig and Roll Charters, we cater to our customers' preferences. During the early season, we employ both jigging and trolling methods, allowing you to choose the technique you prefer. If time and lake conditions permit, we can even combine both techniques on the same charter. Jigging tends to yield a mix of "eater" size Walleye, while trolling offers the best chance of landing a trophy catch and is the most efficient method from mid-May onwards.
As a child-friendly and safety-conscious charter service, Rig and Roll Charters encourages you to bring your little ones along and get them hooked on fishing from a young age. Don't forget to bring drinks, snacks, sunscreen lotion, comfortable clothing, and a cooler to store your catch. It's customary to tip your crew at the end of the charter for providing an excellent service.
Are you constantly daydreaming about fishing? Transform that daydream into reality with Rig and Roll Charters! Book your adventure today.
