Snook On A Hook offers exciting fishing adventures in the beautiful Texas inshore waterways, targeting Snook, Redfish, Jack Crevalle, and Flounder. With year-round availability, these fish not only provide a thrilling fight but also make for delicious meals. Whether you're an experienced angler or a beginner, you're assured of a fun-filled fishing experience.
To maximize your fishing trip, it's recommended to fish with a knowledgeable local guide. And who better to guide you than Mark Machado, the president of the Laguna Madre Fly Fishing Association himself? Captain Mark's expertise of the area will ensure you reach the most productive fishing spots. He has also been featured in fishing magazine articles and a TV show on trout fly fishing.
Your fishing vessel for the trip will be a 19’ Mako bay boat, capable of accommodating up to four anglers. Equipped with a powerful 115 HP Mercury engine, the boat can reach speeds of up to 35 knots, effortlessly navigating the estuaries and bay system. It is also outfitted with a GPS system for easy navigation, safety gear, fly fishing equipment, and a live bait well.
To have a successful and comfortable fishing trip, remember to bring a valid Texas saltwater fishing license, your own food and drinks, a cap, sunblock, sunglasses, and comfortable footwear (with non-black soles preferably). It's also recommended to bring a camera to capture the abundant schools of fish. Smoking is not allowed onboard. After the trip, you can choose to release the fish or enjoy a delicious meal at one of the nearby restaurants.
These trips also present a fantastic opportunity to learn the art of fly fishing. With Capt. Mark's guidance, even beginners can master the techniques and experience the joy of catching Snook. Get ready to find your spot and reel in some Snook!
