Charter Overview
Driftwater Sportfishing, located in Pulaski, is just minutes away from the finest cold water fishing on the east coast. Our owner, Capt. Mark Ledden, is a USCG certified captain with more than twenty years of experience and a wealth of local knowledge. Born and raised near the Salmon River Lighthouse Marina, where our boat is docked, Mark has been fishing these waters since he was a child. Now, he offers his personal expertise through guided fishing charters.
We provide various charter fishing options on Lake Ontario, including half-day (6-hour) and full-day (8-hour) trips targeting Salmon and trophy trout. Mark will recommend the best options based on your chosen timeframe and the current fishing conditions. In April, May, and June, trout fishing is prominent, with lake Brown Trout and trophy-sized Lake Trout being the target species. July brings opportunities for trophy Brown Trout and the arrival of summer salmons. August and September are prime Salmon months, with a massive influx of King and Coho salmon in the eastern part of Lake Ontario.
Capt. Mark's boat of choice is a 25’ Hewescraft 220 Ocean Pro, meticulously equipped with top-of-the-line fishing electronics from Garmin and Furuno for enhanced navigation and radar capabilities. It features a fully enclosed cabin, heated cabin, comfortable seating, and can safely accommodate up to six anglers (preferably a maximum of four). All fishing equipment, including rods, reels, and terminal tackle, are provided, allowing you to focus solely on the joy of fishing.
