The material gives a good amount of stretch while maintaining a water resistance and durability. although I wish there were more vents for the warm days and lower pockets for phone or item storage. I found these pants to be very comfy, durable and splash resistant but I wish I would have spent the extra money on a more harness friendly option. hiking canoeing, camping, and general mountain activity (excluding harness activity) these pants are everything I needed and highly recomend for people interested in those areas.

All of the Runbold pants are great. The guide version is a little bit heavier fabric, feels more rugged/durable. Stretch is still great, very easy to climb in. They seem to fit a little bigger than the others, but has belt loops unlike the light Runbold. Overall, great mountain pant.

Edit - Still Love Them, But...

These pants are super comfortable. The cut is great and fits me just right except that I had to hem the leg openings about two inches. They run long. But that's no issue to me. I'm 6'2" and 205lbs. I ordered 34 tall size and like I said, a little long and needed 2" hemmed on the legs. Love the pockets. They are super flexible. Great with a climbing harness. My go to pants for hiking. The name runbold is interesting. Don't know if I'd wear them running, but maybe you might. Edit: After about 9 months of fairly frequent use (not abuse) the bottom of the front pockets have both opened up on the bottom and are now useless except as a place to store my hands. I still really like the pants and continue to wear them, but the pockets are toast. Maybe I got a pair from a bad batch. Who knows.
