Why We Like The Garmin quatix 7
The Garmin quatix 7 Sapphire Edition features an upgraded, AMOLED display for better visual quality than the standard edition. The quatix 7 series is custom-made for marine use, but it's also stacked with features for terrestrials, too. We like the extensive list of features for captaining our boat, including autopilot control to run the boat away from the helm, Garmin Sailassist, Navionics data for coastal charts and freshwater maps, waypoint marking, comprehensive connectivity with select Garmin chartplotters and remote control of key multifunction displays, Fusion-Link controls of our onboard entertainment system, alerts and alarms for tide changes and dragging anchors, and data streaming of wind, water, and engine data. We can also captain our own lives, on land and at sea, with a slew of performance metrics, including health and sleep monitoring, built-in sport profiles, workout apps, ABC sensors for elevation data, barometric readings, and a 3-axis electronic compass. When paired with a compatible device, the quatix 7 also features smart notifications, Garmin Pay contactless payments, music apps, safety tracking, and built-in incident detection for select outdoor activities.

Watch is not turning on
Got excited when got new Quantix 7 but unfortunately after quick start and software update the watch is not turning on. It blinks with quantix text as in the beginning and then turns off. Returning the watches

Great features
I bought this last year for sailing. I love the watch and features. Only drawback is it is a bit difficult to figure out the function buttons. Not very intuitive.

Overall this is a really nice watch
This watch has great battery life and configuration flexibility. On the downside, when it comes to integrating the watch with my marine electronics and using that functionality has been difficult at best. I bought his watch to use while fishing with the intent of seeing certain chart plotter data such as depth. To date I have been unable to utilize that at all.

Great design.
Went with the 7 series, sapphire for two main reasons….. brightness of the display while outdoors and small bezel therefore more screen size without bulk.

You don’t know you have it on!
Unbelievable features and function, battery life is incredible, no more plugging in my iWatch everyday. I’m a boating enthusiast and it’s like I have my ECHOMAP on my wrist. Wearability is where it’s at, I have small wrists and you don’t even know you have it on!

I hate this watch
Impossible to find things. Ridiculously complicated to get to apps. Unstable connections / whole point was to connect to my Garmin boat equipment - doesn’t work. Soooooo frustrating. Would not recommend. Want to return.

The Best Marine Watch!
I have had the Quatix 3, 5, 6, and now the Quatix 7 and with each update the features just keep getting better! The touch screen and AMOLED display simply add to the overall functionality of the watch! And the best part is the ability to add additional activity apps to those for marine use. And don’t forget the smartwatch features such as notifications and seeing messages as they come in. My only disappointment is that after an initial substantial investment in the watch you need to purchase the marine charts if you want to view water depths, etc. However I highly recommend the Quatix 7!

a little disappointed
I bought this sailing watch for its racing features. Love the count down timer and start line features, It is impossible to enter a course or route. Easy if your a runner or hiker. Lat Lon on the water. no way. Garmin explorer simple to use but not for water. If I had a handheld Garmin gps unit I wouldn't need the watch. disappointed in the sailing watch that is better at doing anything but sailing.

Happy but need better information on how to use
Happy but need better information on how to use…. This watch has so many features the small manual is not sufficient- YouTube videos showing how to use watch features would be helpful
