I'm Abigail Scott, an author, adventurer, and mother of three. When I'm not navigating the beautiful chaos of motherhood, you can find me tackling the turbulent waters as a professional whitewater kayaker or scaling impressive rock faces as a climbing guide. The rush of adrenaline, whether from kayaking or climbing, is a feeling I cherish deeply. But the thrill doesn't stop there; I capture the breathtaking allure of nature through my lens as a professional photographer. And when I'm not submerged in the wild, my software engineering skills amplify my outdoor pursuits, allowing me to harness technology in unique ways. Through my writings, whether articles or blog posts, I share not just my adventures but my heart, hoping to spark a flame of inspiration in others to break boundaries and experience the world's wonders.

Ultralight Offset TCU

Ultralight Offset TCU

Description

The Metolius Ultralight Offset TCU is the perfect addition to your rack if you're looking to master offset placements. This versatile cam is designed with two small lobes on one side and a large lobe on the other, making it ideal for fitting into shallow pin-scars commonly found in popular climbing destinations like Yosemite, Zion, and Little Cottonwood Canyon.

Featuring Direct Axle Technology, these Ultralight Offset TCUs are engineered to provide maximum performance while minimizing weight. This innovative design not only makes them incredibly lightweight, but also expands the range of placement options in challenging cracks, including shallow, narrow, and bottoming cracks.

The teethed lobes of the Ultralight Offset TCU enhance grip on sandstone surfaces, ensuring secure placements even on the most slippery terrain. Additionally, the machined cam stops serve a dual purpose, functioning as passive placements similar to stoppers.

One of the standout features of the Metolius Ultralight Offset TCU is the range finder. This exclusive tool assists beginners in identifying the optimal placements, helping them build confidence and improve their climbing skills.
