FAQs:

"Is it waterproof?" - I would say for the most part it is, there's no seal on the lid. I've had mine for about a month and have not had any water inside the box. I've taken a few waves at Clearlake and stayed dry. I would say it's the best crate I've ever had. Boxes fit nicely, and there are some new attachments being released for it that were shown at Icast.

"Can you put the rod holders at an angle or will they only fit straight up and down?" - YakAttack says you can't, but I've had six of them mounted at angles for several months now on a 16x16 crate and have had zero issues. Only two screws are in, but it's more than enough to secure a rod.

"Are the tie downs included?" - Included with each BlackPak Pro is a set of four OmniHooks. The hooks attach to your kayak's stock tankwell bungee and act as a simple and easy method to secure your BlackPak Pro. The OmniHooks can attach to the four corner brackets or in the slot on the two carry handles.

"Are the mounting locations through holes? In other words, does the grid of mounting points on each side allow for water intrusion?" - The mounting holes are not through holes. The design of the BlackPak Pro will not let water in from rain or water coming over the gunwale from splashes caused by waves and boat wakes.
