Built For Speed Salmon Fishing Charters offers thrilling angling adventures throughout the year in West Vancouver, Canada. Our local waters are teeming with all five Pacific Salmon species - Chinook, Coho, Sockeye, Pink, and Chum. Located centrally to the best hotspots, Built For Speed is your gateway to exceptional salmon fishing experiences.
Owned, operated, and meticulously maintained by licensed Captain Chris Speed, who boasts an impressive 40 years of experience navigating and fishing the waters of Vancouver in all seasons. Our vessel, the 24' Zeta Marine express cruiser, is a fully equipped, covered, stable, and swift fishing machine. With ample comfortable seating for four anglers, you can enjoy a day on the water in ultimate comfort. Powered by a 310 HP Mercruiser 383 inboard/sterndrive Bravo III leg, as well as a quiet and fumeless 20HP Tohatsu trolling motor, we have the perfect setup for trolling salmon at the exact speed required. Additionally, our boat features two modern Garmin 12" fishfinder/GPS units, an ice-box, a private toilet, a fridge, and four Scotty HP downriggers, providing a professional fishing experience with lightweight 10.5 ft rods and a vast inventory of premium tackle meticulously rigged by Captain Chris.
Our charters start at five hours but can be extended to any desired length. Departing from Horseshoe Bay, our premium location offers the opportunity to target Chinook salmon just minutes from the dock. Trolling for salmon is the established practice in Vancouver, and we provide quality rods, reels, tackle, lures, and bait for your convenience. After your fishing adventure, we will process your catch for transportation, ensuring you can savor it at your table.
Please note that all trips require a valid printed fishing license with a Salmon stamp. Kindly bring your own snacks, refreshments, hat, and sunglasses. - Fishing License: A printed saltwater fishing license is required for all guests. The cost is $15
- Lunch: Guests are responsible for bringing their own lunch and drinks
