Charter Overview
I'd Rather Be Striper Fishing operates guided fishing trips on Lake Lanier in Gainesville, Georgia. Our experienced captain has devoted his entire life to fishing and is eager to share his knowledge and passion with you. Come aboard our 23' Sportsman center console boat equipped with a 250 HP Yamaha engine and advanced navigation technology. With a capacity for up to 6 guests, our boat features convenient amenities such as a small portable toilet, wireless trolling motor, livewell, and ice-box.
While our main target is Striped Bass, you can also expect to catch other species including Spotted Bass, Catfish, Walleye, Gar, Crappie, and White and Hybrid Bass. We use a combination of live and artificial bait, employing trolling, spinning, and jigging techniques using light tackle. Night fishing for Catfish and Striper is also available. For those seeking trophy fish, we can arrange trips to lakes Nottley, Carters, and Russell upon request.
All necessary equipment, tackle, and bait are provided. Please bring your own snacks, drinks, suntan lotion, and sunglasses, and dress appropriately. The boat is equipped with a cooler stocked with ice. Don't forget to obtain a valid GA fishing license before joining us.
