Charter Overview
Marsh Dweller Fishing specializes in sight fishing tailing, and belly crawling Redfish in super shallow water. Captain Daniel Kerr, with over two decades of experience, is an expert in the waters of St. Augustine. Alongside his passion for sight fishing, he is also proficient in a wide range of techniques such as fly fishing, live bait, and artificial lures.
Captain Dan can cater to diverse angler preferences as he fishes for other nearshore and inshore species according to the season. This offers an excellent opportunity to explore different fishing methods and visit various local fishing grounds.
The Beavertail skiff, with its shallow 4 and a half inch draft, allows Captain Dan to navigate the narrowest waters to get close to feeding Redfish. The vessel has a maximum capacity of 2 adults or 1 adult and 2 kids. During a typical trip, everyone can fish simultaneously. However, in the case of fly fishing, only one person can fish at a time.
You'll be provided with top-notch Penn, Shimano, and Daiwa rods and reels. For fly fishing, you'll use Hatch reels and G Loomis rods, including the captain's custom-made rods. Prior arrangements are necessary for fly fishing; otherwise, spinning tackle will be provided. Live bait availability will determine if it is procured before the trip or caught at the start. Live bait is always included in the price.
The cost covers your daily fishing license and catch cleaning at the end of the trip. All you need to bring are drinks, food, polarized sunglasses, clothing appropriate for the weather, and sunblock. Free parking is available at the designated meetup location.
Check Captain Dan's calendar for available slots, choose a convenient time, and book your next fishing adventure today!
