Fish the 46,000 acres of salt marshes in Timucuan Preserve or the inshore areas around Atlantic Beach and the Guana Tolomato Matanzas Estuarine Research Reserve.
Capt. Buzz's brand new 18ft Beavertail skiff is perfectly designed for fishing Florida's flats. With its shallow draft and stable, dry ride, even in just 7 inches of water, passengers will be comfortable. Regularly upgrading to new Beavertail skiffs, Capt. Buzz ensures a well-maintained and modern boat for charter guests. Equipped with new navigational electronics and a brand new Yamaha outboard engine, the boat is reliable and well-equipped.
Capt. Buzz specializes in backwater and saltwater marsh fishing in the Jacksonville area, targeting species such as Redfish, Spotted Sea Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, and Sheepshead. High-quality light tackle from Shimano reels and rods from St Croix, Fenwick, and TFO are used, along with live bait or artificial lures supplied by Slayer Inc.
As a full-time USCG licensed and insured fishing guide, Capt. Buzz has extensive experience fishing the grass flats since childhood. He has competed in tournaments and achieved second place in the Florida East Division of the IFA Redfish Tour in 2015.
