Experience the breathtaking fishing waters of Gainesville with Russell Outdoor Guides. Captain Jerry, with his extensive knowledge of these tides, is ready to ensure an exceptional fishing experience for you.
Fishing in this area typically involves targeting various species such as Largemouth Bass, Spotted Bass, Striped Bass, and more, depending on the season.
During these trips, you can expect to engage in trolling and bottom fishing activities using light tackle. Additionally, Capt. Jerry offers the option for fly fishing, as well as the exciting activity of bowfishing. You are allowed to keep any fish within legal limits, with some trophy fish being catch-and-release only.
You'll have the pleasure of boarding a 20’ Trophy center console boat that comfortably accommodates up to 4 passengers. It is fully equipped with all necessary equipment for a productive day on the water, including rods, reels, tackle, and lures. Live bait is also provided, although you may inquire if it will be caught during your trip.
It is advisable to obtain a local fishing license before your excursion. This information can usually be found online, or you may consult with the captain. Certain species may have restrictions or require special tags, so it's important to be well-informed.
Russell Outdoor Guides welcomes families on their trips, so feel free to make it a memorable family outing! For the safety of children, life vests are mandatory. Beforehand, check if appropriately sized vests are available on board. Don't forget to pack snacks to keep everyone energized throughout the day.
