Yes, You can certainly watch your jig while ice fishing. See this article that also has an image that a customer sent in: https://support.norcrossmarine.com/hc/en-us/articles/360045152253-Can-you-you-see-the-jig-on-the-FishTrax-1C-while-icefishing-
Does this one use the AA batteries?
It uses 4 AAA batteries.
Like to find out if the hawkeye ft1px fishtrax portable dot matrix fish finder would work while trolling at a slow speed
Hi. Nope. Have three of these. That's with the stock transducer. BUT, they sell a high-speed transducer that I'm going to install shortly. Hope that helps, need to be at a standstill. Good hunting.....Paul
Can anyone tell me how long four AA batteries last in either the 1X or 1C? I'm assuming the 1C eats up batteries more than the 1X.
I have the 1C, It uses AAA not AA. A set will last about 6 hours. That's non-stop use. I wanted to make an AA converter to get a longer run time because when we're out fishing, we won't be back at camp for 8 to 10 hours. I would always use good name brand batteries. you can chew through batteries.
