Why We Like The Kokatat Hydrus 3.0 Meridian Drysuit
Sure, dry suits are expensive, but the Kokatat Hydrus 3.0 Meridian Dry Suit helps us stay dry and on budget. Kokatat's Hydrus 3.0 membrane is waterproof, breathable, and costs less than GORE-TEX to save us a few bucks while still keeping us reliably dry. The latex gaskets seal out water at the neck and wrist if waves get the best of us while waterproof zippers on the chest pocket and relief zipper keep us totally watertight whether we're upside down or upright. Their signature overskirt sandwiches our sprayskirt to keep our kayak drier when rolling or playing, and the diagonal, front-entry zipper makes it easier to get in and out of our dry suit than rear-entry dry suits. Made in the USA, the Meridian features most of the bells and whistles that come standard with the company's higher-end dry suits, but at a river rat's price.
