  • Frequently Asked Questions

How long is this canoe and what is the weight, please?

The length is 11' (" and the weight is 50 lbs.

How well does it solo portage? Can you pick it up and put it on your shoulders or do you need a cart?

I am 66 and can get this canoe on and off my car top and into the water. It weighs aroubd 50 maybe more. I haven't had to portage it. But, I like it. I find it tracks best when you use a kayak paddle. Fun little thing

can the seller set it up to be used with oars? if so, what is the added cost?

Sure, just mount a couple of oar locks to the top rail and you are in business. or use a kayak paddle like I do. If you have the oars, you should be able to purchase oar locks for about 20 dollars.

How stable is it for stand-up casting?

Don't even think about it. Canoe is stable when sitting in the low slung seat, but very unstable when standing up. For more stability, you may want to look at the Old Town "Pack" model.
