RAILBLAZA Kayak Motor Mount

RAILBLAZA Kayak Motor Mount

Description

The RAILBLAZA Kayak Motor Mount is the simplest way to attach a trolling motor to your kayak. It allows for a quick transition from paddle only to motor ready, making it convenient for your kayaking adventures.

This motor mount includes all the necessary hardware, so you don't have to worry about finding additional parts. It's a complete package that provides everything you need to set up your trolling motor.

If you're looking to customize your kayak even further, the RAILBLAZA Kayak Motor Mount is compatible with RailMount 32-41s. This allows you to add extra accessories and personalize your setup according to your preferences.

It's important to note that some assembly is required for this motor mount. However, the process is straightforward and instructions are provided to guide you through the setup.

Now, let's address a few frequently asked questions:

If you've noticed that the hook part of the mount is missing, reach out to the seller for assistance. In many cases, the seller is willing to provide missing parts at no additional cost. Don't hesitate to contact them via email.

The RAILBLAZA Kayak Motor Mount uses the Railblaza StarPort Mounting System, so it's not compatible with Scotty mounts. The kit comes with all the necessary mounting bases specifically designed for this setup.

When it comes to using this motor mount with an Ascend H10, it is possible, but there are a few considerations. Ensure that you mount it in a way that doesn't compromise the integrity of your kayak or create leaks. It is recommended to reinforce the mounting points with a patch of HDPE. You can find tutorials online on how to do this. Additionally, the positioning of the mount may affect accessibility to the trolling motor controls depending on the design of the Ascend kayak. Consider mounting the motor in a location that is within reach without obstructing your fishing activities.

The RAILBLAZA Kayak Motor Mount is universal and can work with Wilderness kayaks, including the Tarpon 120 Ultra Lite. As long as you use the provided items and follow the instructions, you should be able to install the motor mount on your chosen Wilderness kayak model.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does anyone know where i can buy the hook part for this mount. Mine wqs missing and didnt notice until i uad allready drilled and mounted the base to

Refer back to the seller. Mine was missing 2 key screws and they sent them to me at no cost. Email the seller.

Already have Scotty mounts any chance they would be compatible with the Railblaza fittings?

These are not compatible with Scotty mounts. They use the Railblaza StarPort Mounting System. This kit comes with all the mounting bases you need for this particular setup.

Does this work for an ascend h10?

Possibly. The challenge with this device is mounting it without creating a leak or weak point that could crack. I would advise reinforcing the mounting points with a patch of HDPE. You can buy a bucket made of HDPE and use a heat gun to bond it to the kayak. There are YouTube videos that show how. The other challenge is with the Ascend design itself. I have this Kayak. You sit low in that Kayak and reaching the trolling motor controls will be difficult if mounted behind you. Mounting in front of you within reach will put it in your way when fishing. If I were mounting a trolling motor on an Ascend, I would mount it on the tip of the back and bring motor controls through the hull at the motor and up to the cockpit inside the hull. Left-Right controls might be possible to rig up to the foot pedals.

Does this work with all wilderness kayaks? specifically the tarpon 120 ultra lite?

It's universal, if you use the items provided.
