The Vanhunks Mahi Mahi 11'0 Fin Drive Fishing Kayak is an exceptional kayak designed specifically for fishing. Its superior stability allows you to cast while standing up without the worry of the boat tipping over or you falling off.
To achieve the perfect weight and balance ratio, we relooked at the length and width of this vessel. Measuring 11 feet in length and 34 inches in width, the kayak weighs 77lbs with the fin drive system and 70lbs without it. This weight to balance ratio provides an optimal and effortless pedaling experience.
The wide hull of the kayak offers ample storage space, which is ideal for storing your fishing gear or any big catches you may have. The bottom of the vessel features a deep single ‘V’ shape in the front, merging into a double-V in the back for increased stability and enhanced water flow.
Storage is not an issue with the Mahi Mahi. It comes equipped with a round storage hatch between the paddler’s seat and the fin drive, front storage, rear storage system, and additional room behind the seat. The kayak also features six horizontal molded rod placements and two integrated rod holders at the back, providing easy access to your fishing rods. Integrated tackle box storage compartments and a convenient molded-in cup holder are situated on either side of the paddler.
The Mahi Mahi ensures comfort during long hours on the water. It comes with an adjustable aluminum seat on a slider system, allowing you to shift your position effortlessly. The raised padded seat keeps you dry from any spray water pooling in the seating area. With ample room to move around, entering and exiting the kayak is a breeze.
For added versatility, the Mahi Mahi is compatible with both a Prop Drive and Fin Drive. Its molded-in compartment protects your transducer, and a large storage area with bungees and accessory tracks allows you to add trolling rods as needed.
