Is the fishing rod holder removable?

Is there any dry storage?

Yes.... The entire kayak is dry storage. It's very odd. On the kayak you'll see a black opening to storage, but when you take it off you find that it is all open. If you put things in there you will not have easy access to them at all. Very inconvenient.

How wide does the kayak get by the seat

Your question isn't all that clear but I will try to provide you with information. The kayak is 30" wide where the seat is located. I am 41" at the hip. The interior measurement of the kayak at the top of the seat area is about 18"; the bottom of the seating area is about 16". I fit very comfortably into this kayak... no pinching or sqeezing of the butt. Does that help?
