Deep Dive
The Denali 75L Backpack is the perfect companion for overnight alpine climbs and minimalist expeditions. This backpack, as the little brother of the Denali 100, offers the same technical capabilities but in a smaller and more nimble package. Designed by Gregory, it ensures a sleek and streamlined functionality, whether you're venturing deep into the backcountry or high into the alpine.
To keep weight to a minimum, Gregory has used a lighter 210D nylon fabric, reinforced with 420D high-density material where it matters the most. The backpack also features a puncture-resistant internally laminated front panel, which protects against ice axes, crampons, and ski edges. Additionally, the 630D high-density nylon base saves the bottom of the pack from rock and ice.
But the excellence of the Denali 75L Backpack doesn't stop at weight reduction. It provides an incredibly comfortable carry thanks to Gregory's top-of-the-line Fusion Flex Pro suspension system. This includes two 7075 aluminum frame stays that can be removed if you want to go even lighter, as well as a sewn-in framesheet for added support. A tubular cross stay prevents the bag from collapsing under heavy loads, while the high-density EVA foam padding at the shoulders, back, and hip pads guarantees a comfortable fit. Moreover, there's a removable bivy pad concealed in the back panel, and the hip belt can be detached when you're aiming for a fast and light high alpine experience.
The Denali 75L Backpack features a classic top-loading design for secure gear storage. However, Gregory has also added a full-length side slash zip access point for easy retrieval of items that are closer to the bottom. The backpack includes a zippered pocket underneath the removable lid and stowaway side pockets for water bottles. For those rock- and ice-climbing adventures, the waist belt gear loops come in handy. You'll have an internal hydration reservoir with a tube port for staying hydrated, and a quick-access zippered pocket for keeping your topo map close at hand. And don't forget the back carry system designed to keep your ice axes within reach.
