It is made from 1 inch diameter aluminum tubing with nylon fittings. The fabric is a top tier marine grade polyester canvas. It is the same material we make our boat covers from, and it is engineered to last 20 years at least. That is how we, with confidence, offer a lifetime warranty. The material is woven from engineered polyester thread, then polyurethaned, waterproofed, and mildew protected. If you don’t love it, return it, on us. If you keep it, enjoy a lifetime warranty, on us.

We appreciate the fact that you took the time to look one at of our products. The assembled product is 36” wide, so it fits comfortably between mount points of 30” and 42”, and super well between 32” and 40”. It is 39 inches tall, and 5 feet long. The first time, or original installation is very easy. It comes with all hardware. Then, it is super easy to remove or reinstall as you need it, depending on weather conditions, sun, rain, your personal preference, etc. I ship quickly, as in the same day if humanly possible, and reach a huge chunk of the country in 2-3 business days. This item for sale is the complete sun shade kit, including the canopy, frame, and hardware kit. The canoe is not included.

Would this be compatible with a catch pwr 100 kayak? Do you have to drill into kayak to mount?

I have the Pelican PWR 100 and it fit perfect and looks great. There's no need for a drill; it will stripe the soft plastic. Only a Phillips screwdriver is required to install. If you order the Scotty inserts for the rail, you need not pierce the boat. However, I have other plans for the rail so I installed mine 2 inches to the rear of the rail. The boat has clip locations on the front and rear, so the only installing needed is of the main base support bracket of the bimini poles. If I'd had to guess, the person that designed this bimini did so for this exact model; that's how well it fits and works. I installed mine in less than 10 minutes.

Would this fit a sit on top style kayak?

Mine came with all the necessary hardware; I would call them. I did have to make some additions to the hardware to make it fit my needs...
