FAQs:

  • Q: What is the distance between the 2 rails?
A: Go to Malone website and call them
  • Q: The trailer is shown with a spare tire/wheel. Does it actually come with the trailer?
A: I think it depends on the trailer package that is purchased. The trailer I purchased did "not" come with the spare tire. The removable retractable tongue, aluminum wheels and aluminum fenders were the accessories. I did purchase the spare tire separately.
  • Q: I have a 22' tandem fiberglass kayak. Can it carry a 22', maybe on its side?
A: I would think so as long as it doesn't impede your turn radius. My kayaks are both 12' which I haul on Jracks with a small Ford Ranger. We got the trailer so my wife and her pals could handle it without having to lift them overhead. And it happens to work great.
  • Q: I bent one of the trailer racks, I need to replace it
A: I would call Malone and speak with them. They have been very helpful the few times I've called them.

I think it depends on the trailer package that is purchased. The trailer I purchased did "not" come with the spare tire. The removable retractable tongue, aluminum wheels and aluminum fenders where the accessories. I did purchase the spare however, tire rim is galvanized which is alright I suppose, but wish one had the option of the aluminum rim. This Malone MicroSport XT Trailer is the best on the market in my opinion! It trailers very nicely, well built quality parts and ideal for transport of full sized canoes.
