Outdoor Research Peruvian Hat

This hat does have an adjustable neck strap and I have found you can have it under your chin for a tight fit or wear it behind your neck and it is a loose fit. There is no Gore-Tex in this hat, 100% polyester and I do not believe it is waterproof. But, it definitely protects against wind. I wear a gore-tex hat on top of this for rain protection. The hat is comfortable and warm.

Absolutely! I have a medium size head (7 1/4, I think) and the medium is excellent. Measure your head and use the chart to pick the size to order. I'll sure tell'ya Rebecca...The hat, itself, is Amazing! I wear it in cold, windy, snowy hiking and under my helmet on the two motorcycles in the winter. The thing weighs 'nothing' and not a lick-a-wind gets through it!~ Your Pal...Bill

Yes. Mine came with a adjustable string around the neck.

They are not elastic or tight fitting and I'm not sure about the smallest size. But I think the M/L sizes would be way too big.
