I'm looking at this for a non kayak use. Primarily to protect me from a wet seat but secondary for a bit of cushion. Is it waterproof?
It is definitely waterproof on the bottom. It seems to be at least water repellent on the top.
Does this help cushion your back as well?
This kayak pad isn't designed to cushion your back, as it's meant to be sat on, for full support of your "sitz" bones, not your back. Is it really comfy for about a two hour paddle?
I don't know how helpful my answer can be since the closest I come to a kayak is the travel booking site "kayak.com"! I bought the cushion for use on long flights and I found it to be very helpful for journeys as long as ten hours in a plane seat.
Is there a way to secure this cushion to a canoe seat?
