I recently purchased the Vibe Kayaks Anchor Pole 7 Foot 3-Piece Fiberglass and have been extremely satisfied with its performance.
First and foremost, the packaging clearly stated that it comes with a stainless steel mounting bracket. However, I did not receive this bracket with my purchase. After contacting customer service, I was informed that this is normal and the missing bracket is not included.
Another important feature to consider is how the pole can be stored in the boat. Luckily, this anchor pole comes with 2 quick release carabiners, which are very convenient for holding and stowing it securely.
One concern that many people have, especially for those who frequently use their kayaks in saltwater, is how well the pole holds up in such conditions. Based on my experience, the hardened metal parts, such as the threads, do rust slightly. However, I always make sure to rinse all my gear thoroughly after use, so this is to be expected.
