No the paper work I received with mine says made in China.
Will they remain waterproof if sitting in water for long periods of time?
Yes. I have had used these bags as floatable coolers for several hours kayaking. I put ice, and drinks inside, and after the ice melts, the water stays inside until you drain it out. I also use them on my kayak for a jacket, towel, and my dry shoes. They have been submerged, and the bags did not leak. I have 4 sets of the 3 packs for my family and me, and not one of them has failed in the field.
