A: Yes, the mounting brackets are adjustable to various shapes of mounting bars.

Q: Will this fit my 2014 Subaru Outback factory roof racks?

Q: Can it be mounted facing the rear?

A: Depends on your rack mostly if you have a cross bar in the back. I don't, so sideways is my only option.
