BKC PK11 Angler 10.5-Foot Fishing Kayak

Description

The Brooklyn Kayak BKC PK11 Pedal Drive Solo Single Kayak is an ideal representation of informed design. It has a plethora of features the experienced kayak fisherman or distance traveler will love while remaining compact, lightweight, and agile.

The core of the BKC PK11 sit-on-top kayak is a streamlined roto-molded UV-protected HDPE hull measuring 10.5-feet long and 34 inches wide. It rides currents, slices through the chop, and glides over still water with effortless grace.

The craft weighs only 60 pounds, so carrying it overland is easy thanks to built-in handles at the bow and stern and on either side of the hull. But of course, it's the kayak pedal drive system that most excites; with bicycle-style pedals turning a high-efficiency propeller, you can tuck your paddle into the kayak's paddle keeper and go hands-free.

The kayak pedals have adjustable straps to keep your feet secure, and the entire system can be removed for traditional paddling if you prefer or upgraded with a trolling motor for greater power and speed.

The PK11 can be controlled via its hand-operated rudder, which allows for sharp, precise turns or slow, wide arcs as conditions merit.

Among this kayak's other highlights is the craft's copious capacity for cargo. It features a large watertight hatch set into the bow and an additional compartment tucked behind the seat, both of which feature dry bag inserts and that can safely stow items such as a wallet, keys, and snacks. The PK11 pedal kayak also has a large rear cargo area with bungee tie-down straps; this area is ideal for bulky items such as a tackle box, dry bag, or the matching 20L cooler. Scupper holes allow water to drain out of the kayak and can be sealed with included scupper plugs.

The Brooklyn Kayak Company BKC PK11 kayak is built for excitement. Bicycle style pedals turn a high efficiency propeller, allowing you to tuck your paddle into the paddle keeper and go hands-free. The hand operated rudder controls will keep you tracking while underway and enhance your steering capabilities, allowing you to make sharp and quick turns.

Our kayak comes equipped with an ergonomic aluminum frame seat, adjustable aluminum paddle, 2 waterproof hatches, 3 built-in rod holders, 2 paddle parks, and 1 bungee cargo tie-down. We have all the accessories you need for your next excursion.

Get your kayak moving faster than ever with or without a paddle using the included pedal-driven propeller system. Stop on a dime or go in reverse by just pedaling backwards. With an optional trolling motor upgrade, you can customize for even more effortless cruising.

Our Roto Molded single Piece High-density polyethylene material is superior to inflatable kayaks and a capable craft on ocean, lake, or river, while supporting up to 420 lbs. It rides currents, slices through chop, and glides over still water with effortless grace.

3 flush-mount rod holders will keep multiple baited lines in the water at once or just keep the rods out of your way during paddling or pedaling. Whatever your preference, convenience is always an option.

Hi, The weight capacity is 420LBS.Thank you, BKC

I did end up selling mine to purchase a lighter kayak easier for one person to load.

Yes. There is a bungee cord on the left and right hand sides of the kayak that wrap around the center of the paddle for holding support.

I read that it is 60 lbs without the pedal drive. That seems pretty accurate from what I could tell.
