When you're counting ounces, eliminating a camp lantern and only bringing a headlamp seems like a good idea until you consider the Goal Zero Crush Light Chroma. This lantern only weighs three ounces, so it's barely a sacrifice and it's worth its weight as it illuminates your entire space.

The Full Bright light provides up to 60 lumens for plenty of visibility in high mode, and the Crush has three other modes so you can customize the beam to meet your needs. If you need less light for a longer amount of time, the low mode provides light for up to 35 hours.

When you're ready to pack up, the Crush collapses down to half an inch in height, and you can clip it to the outside of your pack to charge it via the integrated solar panel as you hike.
