Now, let's move on to some frequently asked questions about this kayak:

Question: Would this be good for exercise? I'm a disabled vet living on a small lake and need to do low impact resistance.

Answer: This is a wonderful option! I too have a physical disability with my left leg due to a spinal injury. I picked this exact kayak for a low impact exercise option, and four years later, I am so glad I did. I love taking my kayak out on the water. The pedal propeller system is beautifully tuned to just the right gear ratio; you can reach an amazing speed with little effort. I usually spend the entire day (dawn till dusk) out on the water pedaling and paddling around. I've even towed my parents behind me when my father injured his shoulder on a trip. I didn't even notice the extra weight of a tandem kayak behind me. I've also found this kayak to be so stable I haven't yet been able to flip it, even when trying to flip the boat on purpose so I can practice righting it. Four years on the water and my family jokes that we don't know if my life jacket actually works because it's never gotten wet. I'm the only one in my family who hasn't been dumped from their boat at one time or another. The only difficulty this kayak presents is its weight. It is fairly heavy for the average kayak (almost 100lbs for just the hull, no accessories), so be prepared. But there are solutions; you just have to think of them or look for them on the web. There's always an answer to every situation. And kayaking is best enjoyed by industrious, "MacGyver"-spirited people who are ready to come up with solutions to difficulties they encounter. I hope you try it, and I hope you enjoy it! Kayaking is a very enjoyable and very addictive experience.

Question: Which carrier delivered your Kayak?

Answer: The Distribution Center delivered the Kayak with their own independent carrier. They called when the Kayak was ready to be delivered and wanted to know when I would be home to receive it. The kayak was delivered the next morning early.

Question: How realistic is it to stand up and fish out of this?

Answer: As long as you have good balance - don't shift too much, I can cast and fish, but stand in front my seat with the pedal up for a handhold. I prefer just to sit, as the seat is high enough to cast from, but can stand if I need to. I fish the Laguna Madre outside of Corpus Christi.

Question: Is this a 2020 model?

Answer: This is a 2021 model. I just got mine, and the papers say 2021 model.

Things we like
