VMAX MR127 12V 100Ah AGM Deep Cycle Battery - Reliable Power for Boats & Trolling Motors (Group 27 Marine)
Deep Dive
Title: VMAX MR127 12 Volt 100Ah AGM Deep Cycle Maintenance Free Battery compatible with boats and 40-100lb, minnkota, cobra, sevylor and other trolling motor (GROUP 27 Marine Deep Cycle AGM Battery)
The heart of the VMAX is the unique physical and chemical structure of its plates. The special treatment and manufacturing process they undergo gains them unique reliability, strength and high performance far exceeding those of other Pb-Ca plates used in similar looking products. Using our specially designed Absorbed Glass Matt (AGM) between the VMAX plates, adds to its many physical and electrical advantages that make it superior to the Wet Lead Acid Batteries. This also maximizes the VMAX resistance to shocks and vibrations. Since the electrolyte is totally absorbed by the AGM, the VMAX is classified as “non-spillable and non-hazardous”. A tough Tank seals and protects the tightly packed plates delivering the VMAX in a 100% maintenance-free package. Though VMAX Tanks are best known for their long life span, their capability to recover after repeated deep discharges is what makes them the favorite choice for any application.
12 Volt 100Ah Group 27 Deep Cycle Heavy Duty AGM Marine Deep Cycle Maintenance Free Battery (Includes carrying handles)
Electrolyte Suspension system VMAX tanks utilize an electrolyte suspension system consisting AGM (Absorbed Glass Matt) of a high porosity that totally absorb and contain the electrolyte. No silica gels or any other contaminants are used
Heavy Duty Grids: VMAX heavy duty lead tin alloys provide an extra margin of performance and service life in either float or cyclic applications, even after repeated over discharges.

How long would this run a 40 pound thrust motor? The MR127 would continuously run a 40lb thrust motor for 12 hours at the lowest speed, 7.1 hours at medium speed, and 2.4 hours at wide open throttle. You can also double these times by connecting two MR127's in a 12V parallel connection.
What are the dimensions of the MR127? Dimensions are 12”L x 6 5/8”W x 8 5/16”H. That’s not counting the screws on top. I customized mine bc I didn’t want to use the bolts it came with. I wanted to use wing nuts. My threaded bolt with wing nut sticks up 1” above battery top making MY total height about 9 1/4”. I’m sure if using their bolts, they will not be that high!! (What I did: Bought new SS bolts that were a little longer than what the battery comes with but same metric diameter and threads. Cut the head and some of the length of bolt off leaving remaining threaded pc long enough to go the full depth of threaded hole in battery plus about 3/4” more that will stick up above battery to put wing nuts on. (Had to round the edges
Is it made in the USA? Yes
My inverter/charger unit has a battery selector switch. Is this model 100Ah MR127 an AGM I or 2? I believe that AGM #2 is the right setting. I have a 2k inverter by Magnum and used this setting for these batteries. There was a sheet of paper included in my battery purchase that explains charging. Read that for info on charging voltage and amps. If I remember correctly, your charger should also be capable of at least 7 amps to charge this battery correctly.
