I'm Abigail Scott, an author, adventurer, and mother of three. When I'm not navigating the beautiful chaos of motherhood, you can find me tackling the turbulent waters as a professional whitewater kayaker or scaling impressive rock faces as a climbing guide. The rush of adrenaline, whether from kayaking or climbing, is a feeling I cherish deeply. But the thrill doesn't stop there; I capture the breathtaking allure of nature through my lens as a professional photographer. And when I'm not submerged in the wild, my software engineering skills amplify my outdoor pursuits, allowing me to harness technology in unique ways. Through my writings, whether articles or blog posts, I share not just my adventures but my heart, hoping to spark a flame of inspiration in others to break boundaries and experience the world's wonders.

Now the entire posse only needs to mount up on one vehicle. The BigStack lets you carry up to 4 boats on your roof, or use that room for other gear for a multi-sport adventure. CARRY 4 BOATS: BigStack is a great choice for whitewater adventures when you need to carry multiple boats; Designed to fold down when you're not using it so you can still park in your garage

FITS MOST CROSSBARS: Universal built-in hardware fits round, square, factory and aerodynamic crossbars right out of the box; Minimum crossbar spread of 24'

INCLUDES STRAPS: Includes heavy-duty straps with coated metal buckles that protect your car and gear; AnchorHead tie-down features make it easy to manage straps with multiple kayaks

PADDED PROTECTION: Premium HullGuard padding protects your boat from scratches and dings; Compatible with SKS (Same Key System) Lock Cores (sold separately)

TOUGH AS NAILS: SteelCore construction uses a steel tube frame that offers superior strength for rough drives and heavy boats; Refer to Yakima Fit My Car Tool to ensure compatibility

Would the Yakima BigStack work with a 2002 Ford Windstar? With the way the jaws are designed on it, I would say yes, even not knowing what the Windstars rack looks like. The big stack works great on my round Yakima bars and they would work equally well on the factory (flattened oval) bars on my Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Will this rack support 36" wide kayaks? Yes we have a Mariner Kayak which is 36 inches wide and we also have a narrow one, it holds both just fine!

Do I need to purchase the SKS system in order to attach these bars to my crossbars? The SKS, as stated before me, is simply a system used to manipulate the locking mechanisms on the upright kayak mounts. The purpose of these bars is to keep the kayaks upright, so if you tie down correctly, the pillars will stay pretty darn firm where they are. Just wanted to respond to the other answerer who mentioned they were "floppy." This system works great. We put two Emotions kayaks on my Jeep Liberty and drove about 3,000 miles in total for a trip and they worked fantastically, even on the winding California/Oregon redwood roads and the hills of 101.

Is this compatible with Subaru's aero bars? I'm not sure what an "aero bar" is, but I use it with our 2007 Subaru Forester's factory-original crossbars.
