I am 5'5" and 145 pounds and comfortably wear the xs/sm. All our female guests of varying sizes can wear this jacket - it has a large capacity for adjustment with the side straps. That said, I have also worn the med/large size when that is all that was available. The size difference between the two is not significant given the large amount of adjusting available with the straps.
