Hi it says directly on the vest...Made in the USA of US and foreign components.
Is the vest type ii or type iii
I believe its a type iii, but Im not at the house now. But I will tell u it runs small. My husband is 220 lb andthe oversized one just fits him. I wear the large. It is very comfortable. It has clasps but no zipper. For the money its great. I use it to kayak.
What’s the difference between oversized and universal???
Would love to help you, however gave these two items away for gifts. I chose the oversized for the man, even though he has a 42" waist, and he commented that it fit well and allowed him "moving room" while operating the boat. The vest itself presented as a good quality, attractive buy. Also, they were Coast Guard approved apparel.
What is a size 1 equate to? Is the universal OK for a large child? It seems like there is a hole in sizing between child and adult life jackets.
Yes, the universal size is OK for large children. I am a misses dress size 0-2 which is slightly larger than a size 14-16 in girls clothing. The universal life jacket is a bit big on me, but can be adjusted to fit me.
